Books made for Caroline Cole and Colin

I used old childrens board books for these. Gessoed then collaged with acrylic inks. I found old poems from my childhood rather than sweet sayings.
Caroline had a poem about fairies by Robert Lewis Stevenson, Colin, Halfway Up by AA Milne because he loves the stairs and Cole, Mr Nobody which I remember from childhood.
They loved them and I am always so pleased that their mother will keep the books safe.

Caroline climbs to the falls

I just finished this tile mosaic and gave it to Celeste for Valentines Day. It is 10 inches by 12 and mounted on plywood. I got my clay class to try a tile like this cut into pieces and this was my example. Not sure what to do with it but I wanted to remember Caroline's climb to the falls at South Mountain.

Mother Nature

She is special, modeled after my friend Tonya who has 30 odd cats , dogs,goats and a parrot. She wanted me to put tattoos on her too. Check out the tiny snake she is wearing on her wrist.

Homeless girl

Little homeless girl. She has her baby in the bag at her feet and a bottle in her pocket. Id like to make some more with social commentary.
